Dr. Kazi ABM Mohiuddin

Is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering & Head in the Department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). He joined at KUET as a Lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering at 2003. Then He became Assistant Professor at 2006. At 2015, He promoted to Associate Professor. He became the Head of BECM at 2016. He also worked as Research Associate at the project Integrated Management and Safe Disposal of Municipal Solid Wastes in Least Developed Asian Countries from 2004 to 2005 and Safe and Sustainable Management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) through the Practical Application of WasteSafe Proposal – WasteSafe II from 2007 to 2008.  He was Research Assistant at the institution Graduate School of the Environment, Macquarie University, NSW, Australia from 2009 to 2013. He is also a Consultant and Civil Engineer at Consultancy, Research & Testing Services (CRTS), KUET from March 2003 – till now.

Dr. Kazi ABM Mohiuddin had his BSC. in Civil Engineering from KUET at 2002. Then he completed MSc. in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from KUET at 2007. His research topic was Geoenvironmental Assessment of Landfill Sites of Municipal Solid Waste in Some Major Cities of Bangladesh. Then he acquired Ph.D. in environment at 2014 from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. His research field was Environmental Assessment of Size Resolved Atmospheric Particles from Urban and Industrial areas in Australia. His research interest is Air quality; Sustainability; Green building; Faecal Sludge Management; Pollution control; Waste-to-energy; Climate change.

is a Lecturer of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM). He had his graduation on Architecture. He joined Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) at 2017.

He did his bachelor degree on Architecture from Khulna University at 2015. He worked as research assistant & surveyor with A.F.M Ashraful Alam, Associate professor, KU in “Land Use Changes In Peri-Urban Settlements”.

Major responsibilities:

1.Prepare design problems and grade students solutions for the sessional design courses: Conducting Design studio-V(Arch-3102), Design studio-VI (Arch-3202),

2.Prepare and deliver lectures on particular design problems & solutions including cases studied around the world. Organize and conduct field trips and excursions to promote learning activities: Architectural Field Survey –III and IV(Arch-3104 and Arch-3204)

Md. Hamidul Islam

is an Assistant Professor in the department of of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering and technology (KUET). He was a Lecturer in the Faculty of Disaster Management, Patuakhali Sciemce and Technology University from 2013 to 2014. Then he joined at KUET as a Lecturer at 2014.

He completed his bachelor degree in CIVIL ENGINEERING from KUET at 2012. His thesis field was Mechanical and Microscopic Investigation of Concrete Incorpating Waste Ceramic Powder as replacement of Binding Material. Now he is completing MSc. in Structural Engineering from KUET.

Mohakhali, Dhaka from 2003 to 2005. After that he worked as Assistant Engineer at Khoksa and Noapara Municipality from 2005 to 2010. Then he took a job of Assistant Director in Planning and Development department at KUET. At 2015, He joined as Assistant Professor in BECM.

MD. IKRAMUL HOQUE completed BSc. Degree in CIVIL ENGINEERING from KUET at 2003. His thesis topic was “Investigation of Harvested Rainwater Quality and Social
Acceptance in Dacope Upazila, Khulna, Bangladesh.” Then he completed MSc. in Geotechnical Engineering from KUET at 2014. His Dissertation was “Study on the Field Performance of a Granular Pile as a Ground Improvement Technique”.

Dr.Md.Habibur Rahaman Sobuz

Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman Sobuz

is an Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering in the department of of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM). He has over 10 years industrial experience in consultancy and contracting in the design and construction of multi-story reinforced concrete structures and composite steel in Bangladesh. This was followed by nine years of research experience in higher studies then lecturing at Khulna University of Engineering and technology (KUET), Bangladesh from 2016.

He has a BSc in Civil Engineering from KUET.  He has an MSc in Structural Engineering from University Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia and a PhD from University of Adelaide, Australia. His research expertise on the flexural, strength and ductility behavior of RC Members, strengthening and retrofitting of RC members, time-dependent performance of RC structures, new generation ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHPFRC), concrete sustainability and durability, low cost lightweight aggregate concrete by using waste materials.

He is a leading researcher in the field of structural and material engineering. His PhD research focus on ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced concrete manufacturing, structural performance and numerical modeling of segmental moment-rotation approach by using partial-interaction theory in RC structures. Through his Master research he has developed techniques for strengthening and stiffening RC structures bonding with fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) to their surfaces to increase both their strength and ductility. His research also focuses on lightweight concrete production by utilizing waste materials following the material properties and structural performance of RC members.

SM.Arifur Rahaman

SM. Arifur Rahman

is a Lecturer in the department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). He joined here at 2015. Before he was a Lecturer of Environmental Engineering at European University of Bangladesh. He is a lead research engineer and peer reviewer of Basha Research Corporation (BRCORP) from 2013 to now and the responsibility is Development of Biomass Based Renewable Energy by Increasing the Thermal Efficiency Using Computer Methods.

He completed his BSc. Degree  in Civil Engineering from KUET at 2014. His thesis topic was Behavior of Infield clay linear at waste disposal site. He is now having MSc. from KUET. He is also engaged in research on Effect of Infill Wall Opening on Frame Structures. His research topic is Study on the Changes of Hydraulic Conductivity of Clay Liner.

is an Assistant Professor in the department of of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering and technology (KUET).

Mizanoor Rahaman

Mizanoor Rahman

is a Lecturer in the department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). He joined here at 2016.  He was a Research Associate (RA)in the Department of civil engineering, KUET at the project Asia Pro Eco-II Programme funded by European Commission

Position. Then he worked as Project Manager at Singapore from 2008 to 2016. Then he joined as a lecturer in the department of BECM, KUET at 2016.

He completed his BSc. Degree  in Civil Engineering from KUET at 2007.Then he achieved MSc. degree in International Construction Management (ICM) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore at 2015. His research interests are Building Information Modeling (BIM), Sustainable Design and Construction & Green Building.
